The NMI board of trustees and NMI TT shareholders bid farewell to Prof. Dr. Hugo Hämmerle
Many thanks to a highly committed director: The December sitting of the board of trustees of the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute (NMI) at the University of Tübingen marked the time to say farewell to Prof. Dr. Hugo Hämmerle before he entered his highly deserved retirement from his role as managing director of NMI Technologietransfer GmbH (NMI TT). Effective January 1, 2020 he will be succeeded by three managers from the company, which is not only partly owned by the NMI but also by Steinbeis.
Hugo Hämmerle was the institute director of the NMI since 2008 and a director of the NMI TT. Between 2015 and 2019, he was also an active member of the Steinbeis Foundation board of trustees. He is succeeded as director of the NMI TT by Prof. Dr. Katja Schenke-Layland, Dr. Thomas Joos, and Dr. Stefan Raible. Shareholders and the members of the board of trustees thanked Hämmerle for his many years of commitment to both institutions.
Steinbeis has been an NMI TT shareholder since 2015. The company provides consulting services and conducts contractual research into engineering in science and medicine. The main focus of the company lies in pharmaceutical services, testing services, and microsystems.
