HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT has the clearly defined goal of MAKING BUSINESSES MORE SUCCESSFUL by supporting, training and upskilling their employees. However, like other areas in businesses, HR development is undergoing a TRANSFORMATION influenced by technological and societal developments such as artificial intelligence, people’s search for a sense of purpose in their work, and the skills shortage. The CHALLENGE is to reconcile the aims of the business with those of its employees in order to ensure the COMPANY’S LONG-TERM SUCCESS.
