Steinbeis experts organize international symposium
Digital transformation is influencing the requirements of future management and the nature of work: Leadership will move away from just being about managing people and implementing processes, and be more about developing a vision of the future and working together in virtual teams in new work environments. Despite the tremendous importance of this issue, research on the connections between digital transformation, leadership, and work design is slow getting out of the starting blocks. The School of International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE, part of Steinbeis University Berlin) will therefore place this and related topics in the spotlight at a symposium called “Leadership in a Digital World.” The event will take place in Stuttgart on November 22, 2019. It will also be the topic of a special issue of the journal published by Springer: “Leadership, Education, Personality: An Interdisciplinary Journal.”
The deadline for submitting proposals (from all areas of science) not just for articles in the journal but also presentations at the symposium is August 15. Articles can be based on fundamental or applied research, irrespective of research method, and they should be submitted in English as a paper or abstract for a double blind review. Authors will receive feedback on whether their article has been accepted for publication or presentation at the symposium by September 27.
